Green Buzz Agency teamed up with Deion Sanders and Stand Together to spotlight four incredible people at local nonprofits around the country in this documentary mini-series. This specific piece, Ned’s Story, is the only one of the four videos where we were able to send a crew to join our honoree in person to take a deeper dive into his life and story. In this story, we follow Ned and his journey toward finding, and then uplifting, his community with Back on My Feet in Boston.

As producer and director on this project, I worked closely with Back on My Feet, Sanders’ team, and Stand Together to coordinate efficient filming for four videos with Sanders in one day, and directed with Sanders on-site. I also directed and field produced for Ned’s portion of filming, troubleshooting equipment problems, subzero temperatures (due to it being January in Boston), and last-minute delays. In post, I worked with the editor to weave together Deion’s and Ned’s narratives, highlighting Ned’s triumphs in a final piece that he was proud to share with his community.
